You know those days where everything that could go wrong, does? Well today was one of those days.
I knew this soon after I walked into work... when the front doors electric motor decide to do it's best Houdini impression and just fell out of it's sealed casing.
Then the checkout managed to trip it's trip switch... and thus it carried on.

And the best part is, we spent the entire day laughing as the store fell apart around us. XD

Now, working in food retail I regularly meet stupid customers who ask some equally stupid questions, like;
"Do you have any chicken" while the customers is standing next to the chicken shelves,
or asking every staff member in turn whether we have any leeks like your expecting a different answer,
or my personal favourite; one female customer who, while holding a piece of fresh fish which had just moments ago been off-loaded from the delivery truck, demanded that she wanted "fresh fish, like you know... fresh".

But today... one customer must have been pulling my leg, because nobody is that stupid. I got asked "Are you a staff member?".
Now, let me just describe our uniform, which consists of a lime-green, purple and navy-blue checkered shirt, a blue fleece with stated checkered lining and black trousers. As well as a lime green and white name badge with "Co-operative" printed in big black letters on it.
I must of looked like a right noodle, as I just stood there, in complete shock that anyone would have to ask that question.

As much as I wanted to answer "It was the name badge that gave it away wasn't it?" I didn't... damn my over-riding sense of professionalism.


Anyway, stuff like this makes the day more exciting eh?
